Statistics and analysisįreecell Solver, an automated solver for various Card Solitaire games, was adapted to solve Simple Simon, by its primary developer, Shlomi Fish, back in September, 2001. Note that some implementations of Simple Simon, require the player to do all the moving of the individual components by himself. This is similar to FreeCell only with the individual components of the sequence being the same-suit sub-sequences rather than individual cards as in FreeCell. StrategyĪ mixed-suit sequence of cards can be moved to a different location, given enough empty columns or parent cards to place intermediate components and sub-sequences of cards on. The object of the game is to place all four suits in the foundations.
A sequence of cards from the king down to the Ace - all of the same suit - can be moved to the foundations. An empty column can be filled by any card. A sequence of cards, decrementing in rank and of the same suit, can be moved as one. The more cards you stack correctly, the higher your score.At the beginning of the play the cards are dealt all facing the player, starting from 3 columns of 8 cards each, and then 7 columns with 7, 6, and so forth cards until 1.Ī card can be placed on any card on the top of a column whose rank is greater than it by one (with no cards that can be placed above an Ace). If you can no longer move any cards, press the "give up" button to end the game. Try to stack cards of the same suit together so that they can be moved as one, and empty out as many columns as possible so as to be able to arrange the cards more freely.
If a column becomes empty, it can be filled with any card. A group of cards that are in sequence and are of the same suit can be moved together. Each time you can move a card from the bottom of the column to another column, if the moving card is of immediate lower rank than the bottom card in the other column, regardless of suit. The object of the game is to arrange the cards of the same suit from K to A, and then the cards can be removed. At the start of the game, a card is dealt to each of 10 columns, then another card is dealt to the first 9 columns, then another to the first 8 columns, and so on until all the cards are dealt. This game is similar to Spider Solitaire but with some small differences which makes this game more strategic.
